Take a Chance is all about building students' self-confidence and inspiring and motivating them to achieve their full potential. It provides students with the opportunity to enhance their skills and encourages them to become creative thinkers, team workers, reflective learners, effective participators, self-managers and independent enquirers.
This unique self-development programme consists of a series of workshops and mentoring sessions which are supported by volunteers from many different areas of business.
In West Berkshire 128 Year 9 students are nominated for the programme each year from local schools and colleges. Following a further selection process and exciting challenge day, 50 new students start the Take a Chance Programme in the Autumn term each year and remain involved during the academic year.
